History

Colorado Data Mail was founded in 1981 by Don Bacon and his two sons, Todd and Doug.  CDM was originally established as a division of the family business based in Flint MI, with another branch in Ann Arbor.  CDM was spun off in 1988, following Don’s retirement, and Todd has continued to serve the direct-marketing community in Denver ever since. Today, the Michigan company operates as TGI Direct.

CDM began in a 10,000 sq ft facility in the northeast part of Denver.  In 1985, it moved to its current site, a 15,000 sq ft building just off the central highway intersection of I-25 and 6th Avenue.  The move was precipitated by a major fulfillment contract with The Gates Rubber Company, located just a couple miles away.

The focus of the company has remained the same: direct-mail marketing, specializing in mailing lists, postal regulations, mailing services, and the finest in customer service.
